You Can Help
This is the best run energy assistance program anywhere. The staff is outstanding! I not only add a dollar every month to my Eversource bill, but I also make donations above and beyond. There is no other local nonprofit that I have more confidence in than OpFuel.

Home Energy Tip: Did you know that switching your ceiling fan’s direction can make a huge difference in your comfort? Most ceiling fans have a small switch on the base or the motor housing to change the direction it turns.During the summer, set it counterclockwise to create a refreshing breeze and keep cool. When the winter rolls around, flip the switch clockwise to gently push warm air down from the ceiling and keep you snug. What's your favorite home energy tip? Let us know in the comments!
The real success of The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven Great Give will not be how much money we raise but the tremendous impact those dollars will have when nonprofits across Greater New Haven put them to work! Join the giving on May 1-2 and donate to Operation Fuel to lead the way so current and future generations can thrive with secure access to heat, power, and water. Shared Clean Energy Facility Program
Shared Clean Energy Facility (SCEF) Projects provide locally generated, renewable, low-carbon clean energy. The energy from these clean energy projects will benefit all of us in Connecticut for generations to come. In order to more directly share the benefits of these new facilities, some customers will receive a credit on their electric bill. For more information on how to participate in the program, click here. To apply online, visit Eversource or UI’s SCEF program websites or to download and fill out the enrollment form, please click the button below.
