There will be a railroad crossing closure for necessary maintenance and repairs affecting Branders Bridge Road (Between Weldon St and Wakefield Ave). This is a total closure of all lanes meaning no traffic will be allowed across the track until the work is complete.
You can expect the closing on or around Tuesday, March 12 beginning at 6 a.m. with an expected reopening on or around Thursday, March 14 by 5 p.m.
Signage will be in place marking the closure area and detour route. Updates to the schedule listed above can be provided by request.
Please note that any/all dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.

Join Chesterfield Community Enhancement staff on Wednesday Feb. 28, 2024, at 11 a.m., for a public meeting to obtain comments on Chesterfield County's housing and community development needs for the annual action plan and recommended funding for program activities. The public meeting will be held both in-person and via Microsoft Teams.

The event is open to the public and attendees should enter off Woolridge Road. Light refreshments will be available, provided by the Midlothian Friends of the Library.
The new 25,000 square-foot facility was designed in part as a direct result of input sessions held in the summer of 2019. At nearly two-thirds larger than the previous building (15,000 square feet) which existed on the same site before its closing in 2021, the new facility will offer all of the services that were available at the previous Midlothian Library as well as the following amenities:
• improved seating with comfortable chairs
• a large community meeting room
• interactive indoor learning features for kids
• a digital media center
• an outdoor reading garden
• an outdoor learning classroom with musical sculptures
The new facility also includes collaborative study and meeting spaces for in-person and virtual meetings as well as a large community meeting room. The spaces have state-of-the-art technology in order to better facilitate meetings and collaboration.
15 to 28, the Beulah Recreation Center and Parks and Recreation Administrative offices will be shut down while critical equipment is installed. This equipment was not available during the building renovation due to supply chain challenges.
Staff will be available for program registration and customer service needs at the Rose Building, 6701 Mimms Loop, at the County Government Complex, during this time.
Staff and business will return to operations at the Beulah Recreation Center location on Monday, Jan. 29 for all your recreation wants and needs! 🏀
