Early voting for the 2024 Statewide Second Primary Election will begin in Durham County tomorrow and end May 11, 2024.

This election is a continuation of the 2024 March Primary and is taking place to decide two statewide nominees for the Republican party.

Only the following voters are able to participate in the Second Primary:
Republican voters
Unaffiliated voters who voted a Republican ballot during the March Primary
Unaffiliated voters who did not vote in the March Primary

All early voting for the 2024 Statewide Second Primary will take place at Durham County Main Library located at 300 N Roxboro Street Durham, NC 27701.

If you choose to wait until Election Day to cast your ballot, you must do so at your assigned precinct on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Durham City-County Planning Department has launched a new online survey for the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).

Durham is creating a new UDO to implement the new Comprehensive Plan and modernize how development takes place. The UDO is what regulates development in Durham.
Take the project survey, and share your thoughts on some of the key issues addressed by the new UDO. Responses to this survey will be used to help guide the project team's thinking related to housing, transportation, and environmental issues.

This survey will be open for responses until April 15, 2024.
