The Parent & Family Advocacy and Support Training (PFAST) program is a fun training offered at no-cost to Durham County residents. The training explains how to navigate your child’s school. During the training, we talk about different themes related to how to transform the educational experience for your child.
This year's training will be offered online via Zoom and will be divided into 8 sessions of 1 hour and 15 minutes each. Come lunch and learn with us! Please feel free to bring your own lunch to the virtual training. You will receive the Zoom link a few days before the training begins.
Dates of the trainings: The training will take place on Thursdays from 6:00-7:15PM starting on February 29 and running through April 25.
Themes covered will include parent engagement, how to understand your child's report card and state exams, school choice, special programs such as ESL, AIG, and EC, and much more.
