A night to inspire hope and resilience. Ohio State celebrated community members who are helping to change the face of mental health.

One of those people was former Ohio State offensive lineman Harry Miller.

Miller was the keynote speaker at the 13th Annual Faces of Resilience event at Ohio Stadium.

He medically retired from football earlier this year because his mental health struggles were so severe.

Tuesday night, he shared his personal struggles and how he contemplated suicide. His journey is powerful and inspirational.

Miller's mom was also at the event. He credits her, coach Ryan Day and the doctors at Ohio State for giving him the courage to open up about his mental health.

Ohio State is creating a comprehensive center for psychiatry and resilience to focus on prevention and early intervention in treating mental illness.

He talked about how his life was laid out for him, but finally being true to himself, he had to leave football.

If you know someone who is struggling, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline number is 988.
