Fed/State Funding Opportunities

The Prospera Food and Ag Development Center will host a free information session to help businesses navigate the application process for the USDA Rural Development's Rural Energy for American Program. The training will discuss the program, the application process, and help you determine if your business/project is the right fit for this program.

The REAP program provides grants and guaranteed loan funding for renewable energy system installations and energy efficiency improvements for agricultural producers and rural small businesses. 

Eligible renewable energy system projects include: wind, solar, small hydroelectric, anaerobic digesters, biomass and geothermal.  

Eligible energy efficiency projects include: lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, fans, automated controls and insulation.  

Training will be presented by Sam Blomquist, Director Prospera Food & Ag Development Center and Daniel Layton, Business Programs Specialist USDA Rural Development.
