Application for 2023 New Service

Use this form is to propose expanded service hours, increased frequency of service, increasing demand response capacity, increasing geographical coverage, and/or adding routes. Complete a separate application for each service expansion project you are proposing to provide. All fields are required unless otherwise noted.

A completed application does not guarantee funding approval. Applications will be reviewed by MnDOT Review Committee and evaluated based upon their ability to meet Minnesota's program objectives, evaluation criteria, and funding availability. At any time in the review process, the Office of Transit and Active Transportation may request additional information or clarification to properly evaluate the application. All applications will be considered within the confines of the statewide budget target.

Detailed Description of Project Including Location (Include explanations for those outcomes selected in the prior question.

Describe how the applicant will meet the new service request by addressing all the following: staffing levels, vehicles and facilities

Service Information: In quantitative terms, describe the change to the level of service that would be realized with this proposal. (e.g. extended hours/day, additional days/week, added route, extended service area, total annual hours & miles added anticipated, etc.)

Alignment With Plan: Cite specifically where the proposed project is referenced in a plan. (TAM, Capital Improvement Plans, transit development plan, 5-year transit system plan, regional transportation plan, local human service-public transit coordination plan or other planning process)

Service Promotion: Provide a detailed description of the steps to be taken to promote the new service to the general public and identify the resources needed to carry out this strategy.
