MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent and five (5) years’ experience in transportation and logistics, commercial and residential waste, solid waste, utilities, or construction environment with two (2) out of the five (5) years in a supervisory capacity; or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must obtain within 6 months Class "B" Tennessee (or equivalent out-of-state) Commercial Driver's License and must comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Alcohol and Drug testing rules as a condition of continued employment. Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Logistics strongly preferred.

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County withing six (6) months from the date of employment.  Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
