MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field and seven (7) years’ public sector experience in environmental engineering with five (5) of the seven (7) years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as a conditioned of continued employment. License to practice engineering in the State of Tennessee or a state that has reciprocity with Tennessee preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a current valid State of Tennessee Class II Wastewater Collection License or be able to obtain before the end of 24 months of employment as a Waste Collection Facilities Administrator.

The City Charter requires that City Employees must establish residence within Shelby County withing six (6) months from the date of employment.  Proof of residence will be required at the time of hire.
