Fishing is one of our favorite outdoor activities, but have you ever tried fishing with a bow?! This is your chance to join Discover Nature-Fishing Instructor Colt Wahl to learn basic bowfishing skills such as the parts of a bow and fishing arrow, how to aim in the water, and shooting and retrieving the arrow. There is a Basic Bowfishing virtual program on Friday, April 2 at 1:00 PM that would be a fantastic prequel to this program, but it is not a requirement. This program is open to anyone interested in starting out in the world of bowfishing, but is more appropriate for ages 14 and up. We will be meeting out front of the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center and walking down to Wood Duck Pond. Please be advised that the short trail we will be walking can be steep in spots and it is a gravel trail, NOT paved. |
