Author Ruby Namdar will discuss his work The Ruined House

Ruby Namdar, born and raised in Jerusalem to a family of Iranian-Jewish heritage, now lives in New York City.  The Ruined House (translated from Hebrew by Hillel Halkin) won the 2015 Sapir Prize, Israel’s most prestigious literary prize. Newsweek called it a “wildly original novel…unsettling and beautifully written,” as it follows the gradually crumbling life of New York University Jewish American professor Andrew P. Cohen.

In partnership with Montgomery County Middle Eastern American Advisory Group, Office of Community Partnerships and Baltimore Luxor Alexandria Sister City Committee.
