Location: The alley behind 4700-5758 N. Winthrop Ave.
                 (W. Leland Ave. to W. Ardmore Ave.)

Work Hours: 7am to 7pm

Work Activity: Shoring Pad Installations 

Local Impact   
  • Crews will work north to south creating rolling blockages in the alleys during stated work hours (approximately one week per alley)
  • Access to enter/exit the alleys, garages and parking spaces may be blocked during stated work hours (only one to two garages will be impacted at a time)
  • The contractor will provide alternate parking for impacted residents at the Nookies lot located off the alley behind 1100 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.
  • If you need further information about alternative parking and temporary parking passes, please contact the contractor, Walsh-Fluor, at 708-253-9772
  • The contractor will maintain garbage and recycling pickup
  • There will be noise while work is being performed, noise will include: 
    • General construction noise
    • Noise from excavation and pouring
    • Beeping for backup alarms on vehicles
    • Flagging horn
We are continuing construction on the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) Phase One project to rebuild our 100-year-old rail infrastructure and improve transit service. Work will be performed that will affect your community and create inconveniences.
