From Our Federal Partners: New Search Tool for Rental Assistance

As the federal eviction moratorium expires on July 31, 2021, households at risk of eviction urgently need information about rental assistance. On Wednesday, July 28th, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) released a new toolkit and program locator at consumerfinance.gov/renthelp that allows renters and landlords to find information on obtaining rental assistance in their area funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA).

ERA can cover rent, utilities, and other costs to help eligible households stay in their homes. More information can be found on the CFPB Rental Assistance page.
