Overview
1. I would explain my program as a simpler alternative to a regular pulse oximeter, they work almost the same but mine uses less advanced filtering, this could help places around the world where medical tools are in high demand, the materials to make the pulse oximeter I made cost around half of what a normal pulseox would cost
2. This is meant to address the shortage of medical tools in the world, having many of these be able to be built at half the cost of a normal pulseox would significantly increase distribution, and hospitals or medical centers would be able to have and use one of the important tools they need, with modification my code could be changed to set off an alert based on a drop or increase in either SP02 or heart rate.
3. My father presented this as an idea to me, and I decided to go along with it, I would like to credit him, since he helped me a lot with this project, teaching me about the various concepts that ultimately led to a mostly accurate, filtered, pulse oximeter, I learned of the cost effectiveness after I started building this, which I think in itself is a reason that these could be useful for other things besides learning.
