Chapter Approved

On Monday, August 7th, Lake Forest City Council granted final approval of the ordinance approving the Central Business District Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan, in substantially the form presented.  Implementation priorities were also identified focusing on Infrastructure, Bank Lane and the Inner Ring. A summary of those priorities may be viewed via the slides linked below. Next steps will focus on the remaining Comprehensive Plan chapters. Visioning Summary

Special thanks to the hundreds of community members who participated in Lake Forest’s CBD Visioning Process! In short, over 560 responses were submitted via the Community CBD Poll, the interactive comment map received over 2.5K visits by 1K+ unique users, and 130+ individuals took part in the in-person and virtual community workshops. The consensus received through this considerate and valuable input was applied to the Draft CBD Plan Update, and a summary report of the visioning process is available below.
