UPDATE – April 14, 2021

Over the past five weeks homicide detectives have been investigating the murders of Jia Jia, her eight-year-old daughter Ruby, and the attempted murder of a family friend. During this investigation detectives used multiple investigative tools, including assistance from the FBI, andidentified 19-year-old Jacob Alan Wright of Rancho Cucamonga as the suspect in these murders.

On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Wright’s vehicle and arrested him. Detectives served a search warrant at Wright’s home, gathered evidence, and conducted a lengthy interview with Wright. Following the interview, Wright was booked for murder and attempted murder and is being held without bail at West Valley Detention Center.
