After every legislative session, the Legislative Policy and Research Office prepares Summaries of Legislation.
For short and long legislative sessions, LPRO prepares “Legislative Summary Reports,” summarizing measures that received a public hearing in policy committees and were considered by the Oregon Legislative Assembly. Summary Reports are organized into chapters by policy areas and within chapters by subtopics. The reports are released at the end of session.
After each long session, LPRO prepares “Legislative Summary Briefs,” which summarize changes to Oregon’s policy landscape based on measures considered during a legislative session. Each Summary Brief provides background information, legislative history, current law, and refers to agencies and programs when applicable. The briefs are released a couple of months after the end of session.
