April 6: Hawk Watch 10 - Noon at William Offutt Johnson History Center Daffodils, Cherry Blossoms, and  clocks springing forward are all sure signs of Spring but did you know that the return of the Red Shouldered Hawk also marks the end of winter in Maryland.  Come join Ranger Travers at the Offutt Johnson History Center and get a good look at the activities of a pair of Red Shouldered Hawks who have chosen Patapsco Valley State Park as a nesting sight.  We will have a spotting scope and binoculars set up so visitors can see what our feathered friends are up to from a safe distance.  Come join us for a good look and to learn facts about one of Maryland's most frequently seen raptors. For the safety of the animals, no pets are permitted at the program. Registration not required.
