On Monday, June 22, Metro plans to restore some routes and trips, however some routes remain canceled for the foreseeable future. Metro transit planners have updated their tips and alternatives to help connect people to available public transportation options. Riders also can call customer service for trip planning assistance at 206-553-3000 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
We appreciate everyone continuing to follow the requirement to wear a mask on public transportation to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Restore 40th &1st Ave stop!!
Sad to see the 167 canceled as it connects the 405 freeway stations to the 520 freeway stations. This sped up connections from the south to all over the north Eastside. Hopefully this will get priority for restoration in the future for its unique connection options, like the 111 did.

When will you bring back 121 and 122? These routes are just down the street from my house and I don’t want to have to take the annoying 120 to downtown Seattle
I can’t believe all buses from Federal way was cancelled! We need buses to get to downtown too!!!
There are buses from Federal Way.
We currently have around 5 bus riders for route 121 which I was told has been suspended or cancelled. I would like to petition for this route back as we are an essential business down in the SODO district off E Marginal Way and S. Hudson and those are 5 employees that cannot make it into work without bus service. I’m sure I’m not the only business in this area that has this issue as the Federal Center South Government building is across the street from us and there are others that ride this same route. Please let me know what is the fate of this route, or what can be done to help these riders get to work when/if needed?
Please tell me why route 249 along Bellevue Way has been suspended. So now I will have to walk 3/4+ mile to catch another bus that normally would be right outside my front door. Being in my 60’s with arthritic joints, walking the 3/4+ mile is not going to be very fun. Thanks much for the added inconvenience

I am hoping the increase in service will help mitigate this situation, but Metro rides these days are inherently UNSAFE (primarily due to the increase in ridership, but exacerbated by the lack of collecting fares, the boarding from the rear, etc.) I am an essential worker who takes the bus from Crown Hill to downtown (and back) every weekday and the most dangerous part of my day, hands down, is riding the bus. You can say that face masks are required, but there is ZERO enforcement. I have yet to be on a bus where more than 50% of the riders are wearing masks – and it’s often a smaller percentage than that. And in the past 2 months, I have only seen ONE bus display a sign saying they were at capacity (of 12 or 18 riders); usually the bus drivers just open the doors and let more people on. In addition to many people NOT wearing face masks, there is NO WAY that there is 6′ between riders on many of my buses, especially in the afternoons/evenings – it’s more like 4′ or less… My response to these unsafe conditions is to get off the bus prematurely, wait for another bus and hope that the conditions are more safe. And it’s usually a toss-up. On AVERAGE, I usually get off at least 3 buses a week because the conditions are unsafe since the “requirements” are not enforced. On one memorable day, it took me almost 2 hours to get home from work (Downtown to Crown Hill) because I had to keep getting off of unsafe buses and wait for another one. Another day, there were 7 riders all sitting near each other by the rear door. None of them were wearing face masks, 3 of them were coughing… I had been sitting as far to the front as possible because of their unsafe behavior – and when it came time for me to get off, I asked the bus driver – “Is there any way I can exit from the front door? I don’t feel safe having to walk through that group back there to get off the bus.” And the bus driver just looked at me. No response. And the front door stayed closed. So I was forced to endanger myself in order to get off the bus. I am finding it increasingly nerve-wracking to get to and from work 5 days a week. Thought you should know the experience of a regular bus-rider…it’s pretty bad.
I agree – metro buses are among the least safe places in all of Seattle. I also am an essential worker that rides the bus to/from work, and I also have never been on a bus where a clear majority of riders are wearing a mask. I can’t even count the number of coughing, nose-blowing, sneezing riders that don’t wear a mask. Metro says that, since some people have medical reasons that they can’t wear a mask, that they can’t enforce it. But, that is a very small minority of the population. In my opinion, that tiny minority should simply not be allowed to ride transit currently, so that the rule can be enforced, so that the vast majority of the society can have its buses be a safe place, instead of an extremely unsafe place.
Why is the 522 not making stops along the 312 route? I have had 2 drivers inform me that they do not stop along Lake City Way in place of the 312 route.
