Link US Revised Notice of Intent (NOI) Virtual Public Scoping Meeting

A virtual public scoping meeting was held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 for the Link Union Station (Link US) Project during the 30-day public comment period (September 18, 2020 through October 19, 2020) in support of the NEPA environmental review process. The virtual public scoping meeting discussed Metro’s plans to transform LA Union Station into a modern transit and mobility hub, offering an improved passenger experience to meet the region’s long-term transportation needs.

At the scoping meeting attendees had the opportunity to:

  • Learn about the Link US Project, and the proposed improvements to the BNSF Malabar Yard located in the City of Vernon
  • Become informed about the NEPA environmental review process
  • Provide comments on the scope of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS)

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project have been carried out by the State of California pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated July 23, 2019 and executed by the Federal Railroad Administration and the State of California.

Comments can be submitted to CHSRA or Metro during the 30-day public comment period (September 18, 2020 through October 19, 2020) in support of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental review process via one of the following ways:
