Mail Handler Equipment Operator Luis Artaud-Lopez was on duty recently at the Miami International Service Center when a crisis erupted:
A co-worker nearby started choking on a piece of candy.
Artaud-Lopez rushed to his colleague’s aid, performing the Heimlich maneuver on him to dislodge the obstruction, successfully preventing the man from losing consciousness.
He credited Artaud-Lopez with providing lifesaving assistance.
