New prices

Changes to take effect Jan. 24

Lynell Alexander, a retail associate at Pocoshock Creek Branch in Richmond, VA, serves a customer in the fall.

The Postal Regulatory Commission has approved the price changes that USPS proposed in the fall.

The changes will raise Shipping Services product prices approximately 3.5 percent for Priority Mail service and 1.2 percent for Priority Mail Express service, while Mailing Services product prices will rise approximately 1.7 percent.

The changes, which the Postal Service proposed in October and November, will take effect Jan. 24.

The Postal Explorer website has a list of the price changes. USPS will provide employees with additional information before the changes take effect.
