Join our new 55+ Nature Book Club and become part of a community that celebrates the beauty of literature and the outdoors! Explore a range of books centered around nature, wildlife, conservation, and environmental issues. Our meetings take place every third Tuesday of the month at a Montgomery Parks Activity Building. Be mindful that locations vary. These meeting are in-person only. These sessions are interactive, so be sure to limit your distractions from phones. Meetings are held from 6pm-7:30pm.

Walk, stroll, roll, or hike with Montgomery Explorers – an organized walking club sponsored by Montgomery Parks. This program, designed for residents 50 and better of all fitness levels and abilities, encourages participants to maintain a healthy way of life, explore unique areas of our beautiful county while engaging in a walking challenge!

- All participants must be registered Montgomery Explorers Club Members to walk.
- Organized in-person walks will be held on Mondays at locations throughout the county.
- Our cheery and qualified volunteers lead walks.
- Logistics about these walks will be sent after registration is complete.
- Challenges are exciting walks with points of interest with an end goal.
- Challenges can be done independently or with the Explorers Club.
- You will record your distance / miles walked to qualify for milestone rewards.

Advanced registration is not required for the weekly walks, but you must be a registered Montgomery Explorers member. Members will receive complete details about meeting locations, distance and trail features the week prior to the scheduled walk.

All paved surface Winter walks begin at 10am. Natural surface walks will offer two start times of 9am or 11am.

Walk and connect with Trail Trekkers – an organized, inclusive walking club sponsored by Montgomery Parks! This free program, designed for individuals with disabilities and their friends, family, and community members, will take place at various accessible trails within Montgomery County, providing participants with the opportunity to immerse themselves in diverse natural surroundings and engage in conversations with fellow trekkers while creating long-lasting friendships.

All participants must be a registered Trail Trekkers member to walk. Logistics about these walks will be sent after registration is complete.
All-member walks will begin at 11am every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at various parks throughout Montgomery County. Pack a lunch and picnic with us after these walks!
Transitioning Trail Trekkers walks will begin at 4pm every 1st Thursday of each month for members that are 16-26 years old.
