Governor Josh Shapiro Announces Honored Guests from Across Pennsylvania Who Will Join Him for His Budget Address

Harrisburg, PA – Today, Governor Josh Shapiro announced the honored guests from across Pennsylvania who will join him on Tuesday as he delivers his budget address. These honored guests and their stories reflect the experiences of Pennsylvanians all across the Commonwealth, and the Governor’s budget proposes commonsense solutions to the most pressing challenges our communities face. 

Tomorrow, Governor Shapiro will lay out his vision for building an economy that works for everyone, investing in safe and healthy communities, and ensuring every child receives a quality education – and he’s ready to work with both chambers in the General Assembly to deliver real results for the people of Pennsylvania.

Jermaine Graham Hannah McCurdy, cadets from the Pennsylvania State Police.  

Gaylene Macuska, a senior from Scranton who participates in the Property Tax Rent Rebate program.  

Freddy Notue, a first-year apprentice with the Iron Workers Local 3 in Allegheny County. 

Jess Porter, a third-grade teacher in Pittsburgh.  

Stephen Sharp, a school counselor from the Hempfield School District in Lancaster County. 

Matt Tuerk, the Mayor of Allentown. 

Throughout his time in communities all across the Commonwealth, Governor Shapiro has met countless people who have shared their stories, worries, and hopes for the future. Now, the Governor will propose a budget centered on commonsense solutions to the challenges so many Pennsylvanians face every day. The people of Pennsylvania have always guided Governor Shapiro’s public service, and as he did during his Inaugural Ceremony, he looks forward to sharing this important moment with these honored guests.
