Likewise, effective on January 1, 2022, Senate Bill 16 (SB 16) further amended Penal Code Section 832.7, thereby creating additional exemptions from general requirements for additional categories of peace officer personnel and police investigatory records.

(C) records relating to an incident involving a sustained finding of dishonesty by an officer directly related to the reporting, investigation, or prosecution of a crime or an investigation of misconduct by another officer;

(D) records relating to an incident in which a sustained finding was made by any law enforcement agency or oversight agency where a peace officer engaged in conduct related to prejudice or discrimination against a person on the basis of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, or military and veteran status; and

(E) records relating to an incident in which a sustained finding was made by any law enforcement agency or oversight agency where the peace officer made an unlawful arrest or conducted an unlawful search.
