•                     This special service area was established by the County Board at the request of the residents and the tax levy is assessed to only the homeowners within that area.

ORDINANCE

WHEREAS, SSA Number Fourteen was established by the Lake County Board on May 13, 2008; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to said Establishing Ordinance, the County is authorized to impose a levy sufficient to recover the cost of the construction of the sanitary sewer system related to SSA Number Fourteen for twenty (20) years; and

WHEREAS, said annual levy shall be placed upon all taxable property within said SSA Number Fourteen; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Establishing Ordinance, the amount to be levied annually shall be $13,925.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there be and there is levied upon all of the taxable property in said SSA Number Fourteen, in addition to all other taxes, a direct tax of Thirteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($13,925) with said tax to be collected in two (2) installments during calendar year 2023; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Department shall cause the foregoing taxes to be allocated in the manner provided by the Establishing Ordinance and that the Finance Department is hereby directed to prepare and deliver to the County Clerk a detailed statement of the foregoing taxes as allocated and applied to all taxable properties throughout SSA Number Fourteen.
