High demand occupations are jobs expected to be in greatest demand by employers in Kansas. The list of these occupations is provided to assist students, educators, administrators, and others in making informed decisions regarding career paths. The high demand list considers three measures of labor demand: current job openings, projected job openings over the next two years, and projected job openings over the next ten years. The high demand list also includes an indicator for occupations with high wages. An occupation is considered high wage if the occupation has a median wage greater than the median wage for all occupations in the region. High Demand data is also available by the Career Clusters designated by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE).
