The Blog Team shall be responsible for creating, editing, and soliciting content for the SLASC blog. 

The Second Assistant Blog Editor assists both the Blog Editor and the Assistant Blog Editor with blogs for the Special Library Association Student Chapter (SLASC). This position is suitable for those who are looking for an introduction to working closely with blog writers to expand and formulate blog topics. The Second Assistant Blog Editor will be in communication with the Blog Editor to provide strategies to promote and publicize the SLASC blogs, as well as work with other executive committee members to designate appropriate outreach services.  

The Second Assistant Blog Editor’s responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategies to promote and publicize the SLASC blogs
  • Typing, editing, and proofreading blog posts
  • Proposing creative content ideas and suggestions for current and future blog posts
  • Researching a variety of special library sectors for blog content ideas
  • Emerging as a leader in writing and communication
  • Attending monthly Executive Committee meetings
  • Attending SLASC programs when possible
