The Center for Immersive Experiences (CIE) provides cutting-edge immersive technologies, knowledge, and skills to the Penn State community with the goal to create leadership in immersive experiences by advancing the underlying science and integrating it into the academic spectrum through research, education, and outreach.

Grant Development

The Center for Immersive Experiences (CIE) at Penn State offers grants to support transdisciplinary research, diverse educational activities, and high-profile outreach efforts.

Immersive Support

For researchers, faculty, or staff interested in working with the Center for Immersive Experience (CIE), we are considered a university service and provide research and development support for immersive technology projects. Projects can range from developing virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) applications or experiences, access to VR/AR/MR hardware, digital twins, creating 3D models, etc.
