World Mental Health Day 2022: Connecting, anywhere, for anyone

October 10, 2022 - Every year, 10 October is World Mental Health Day. The World Federation for Mental Health has designated World Mental Health Day since 1992 to raise public awareness, reduce prejudice and disseminate correct knowledge on mental health issues. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has also sponsored the event, making it an official international day (International Day of Remembrance).

Everyone feels stressed or worried at times. Mental illness can affect anyone and is a very familiar problem, but even if a person is suffering from it, it is difficult for those around them to understand. It is difficult for people around you to understand if you are suffering from a mental illness. The people who can support you when you are in trouble are those close to you who understand mental health. To help us first think about 'what is mental health' and get in touch with mental health, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan (MHLW) has launched the World Mental Health Day JAPAN 2022, which is a day to raise awareness about mental health.

The event will be held in Japan on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2022 so that we can first think about what mental health is and get in touch with mental health.
