When I attempt to look at older waveform data (8 hours from present) in Swarm, I get this message:

No wave data for MGOO LPZ UI 01

I assume that's because I have the tank value set to 1 MB in wave_serverV.d

What is the suggested tank value for a Beaglebone Black or Raspberry Pi?

Bob,

What is the suggested tank value for a Beaglebone Black or Raspberry Pi?

That depends on the capabilities of your system and what else it is doing.  I have not used a Raspberry Pi.  My preferred low-cost platform has been BeagleBone Black.  I only use them for WaveServer data tanks, usually Winston.  I built one to acquire 3-component data from a Kinemetrics K2 over a serial port.  I built another to receive 36 channels of data from an Earthworm system for serving the data to the public.  In both cases the data were 32-bits @ 200 samples/sec.  The 36 channel box ran about 75% CPU load because of the Java code for Winston.  I did not have any problems with the SD card speed.  If you only need 3 channels or so, I think you would have no trouble bumping up the WaveServer tank size to 1 GB.  Use the Linux top command to watch the load on your system as you increase the demand.  I'm assuming you are nowhere near running out of RAM or SD card space.  And monitor the Earthworm messages for problems caused by slow write speeds to your SD card.  SD card quality varies considerably.  I would not use either of these systems for anything that must be 24x7 reliable without redundancy.

FYI.  I am the one that implemented all the ARM support in Earthworm.  I don't remember if that first appeared in version 7.9 or 7.10.

I've been trying 1 GB for a while and it doesn't seem to make any difference.  I am still unable to get more than a few hours prior waveforms to show up in Swarm.  Any earlier time than that and I get "no wave data for ......."

Any suggestions?

There is a getmenu <host>:<port> command in Earthworm that will tell you what channels and time spans are in the tanks.  I don't remember if you have to create a .d file for it, or if it can be run without one.

Also, look at the log files for anything suspicious.

What is the sample rate and the data type?  Do you have lots of gaps?

Your settings are virtually identical to the ones I use, and I think the tanks hold about 7 days of data:

Tank  8389 HNZ NP 01 1024 INST_WILDCARD MOD_WILDCARD 1000 10000 ${EW_DATA_DIR}/wsv_tanks/acc/8389.HNZ.NP.01.tnk
Tank  8389 HNZ NP 02 1024 INST_WILDCARD MOD_WILDCARD 1000 10000 ${EW_DATA_DIR}/wsv_tanks/acc/8389.HNZ.NP.02.tnk
Tank  8389 HNZ NP 03 1024 INST_WILDCARD MOD_WILDCARD 1000 10000 ${EW_DATA_DIR}/wsv_tanks/acc/8389.HNZ.NP.03.tnk
