Support for the Altenritter Family

Hi, my name is Brigid. I am a friend of Matt and Megan Altenritter. As many of you know, Matt was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer in June of 2023 at the young age of 37. He has been fighting with all he has for the past 9 months but his fight is coming to an end. He has entered the palliative care unit at their local hospital and is surrounded by his loving family. Matt is the kindest, most genuine person you could ever meet. If you had the great luck and privilege of meeting him you would have very quickly realized how much his wife, Megan, and his two children, George(11) and Mary-Claire(7), meant to him. He is constantly putting his family first and does it in such a quiet, selfless manner; the perfect example of a father and husband. If there was one thing we could do for Matt as he prepares to join our Lord, it would be to give him the peace of mind knowing his family will be taken care of. One of the ways we can do that is to relieve some of the financial burden that they will be undergoing. They could use help with funeral costs and general living expenses in the difficult times to come. Matt was their main source of income and it would be wonderful if we could give them a cushion to get their feet underneath them as they figure out their next steps.
