Overview
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Community Finance Division, as the designated administrator of the State of Georgia’s State CDBG and CDBG-CV programs plans to use the CARES Act funding to fund public assistance activities which includes the construction, rehabilitation or enhancement of public facilities which may include capital expenses for food pantries and health care facilities .

Match totaling 10% of the total project cost is required.
The match must be cash, whether loans, bond proceeds, grants, or other committed funds. The source can be either private or other non-CDBG public funds. “In Kind” Services are not considered cash. Match cannot be designated for excessive grant administration nor may match be designated for contingencies.
