Welcome to FREE HART Closet, a free art supply shop located in Hartford, CT. Founded in 2022, FREE HART was created to make art more accessible to adults. We believe that art is a human right as important to our survival as food, water, shelter, and safety. In addition to offering high quality art supplies we want our space to cultivate opportunities to connect with each other.

We welcome organizers, activists, creatives, educators, and everyone in between to use our space for intimate gatherings, workshops, and meetings. We are a project of Mutual Aid Hartford and a member of the Free Art Supply Network.

FREE HART offers a cozy gathering space that can be rented by the hour. Situated in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford, Connecticut our space is full of the charm and character of our surroundings. The “closet” features high ceilings, three large windows with gorgeous natural lighting, exposed brick, and original hardwood floors.
