Forest Product Permit System

Permits are required to cut and remove forest products from BLM land. This website allows the public to purchase fuelwood and Christmas tree harvesting permits for participating field offices, subject to availability and season. Other forest products may also be available for harvest; please contact your local BLM Field Office for more information.

How It Works

  1. Select the state on the map.
  2. Choose the BLM Field Office that corresponds to the area where you plan to use your permit.
  3. Select the type and quantity of product you wish to harvest.
  4. Proceed automatically to Pay.Gov, a secure government website, to make your payment by credit card or checking account and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Download, save, and print your permit to bring with you when you go to the field.
