The Institute for Humane Education (IHE) is partnering with the Maine Department of Education’s Interdisciplinary Instruction Team to offer professional learning for educators who want to empower their students to become changemakers.
The Solutionary Micro-credential Program for Maine educators is a high quality cohort-based hybrid professional learning experience. The program will be offered as a one day in-person workshop followed by four one-hour group Zoom meetings plus a 1:1 Zoom meeting with the cohort facilitator or coach between Zoom meetings 3 and 4. In between the Zoom meetings, participating teachers will complete and submit work on the Learning Board. The course is being offered at no charge to Maine educators through funding provided by the Maine Department of Education.
Maine educators who complete the Solutionary Micro-credential Program, including development of a plan for how they will facilitate solutionary projects with their students during the 2024-2025 school year, will receive their Solutionary Micro-credential, receive a $1000 stipend, and be eligible for 30 contact hours.
