2023 Computing Career Corps & IT On Ramp+ Interest Form
TECH CORPS is currently accepting information from students interested in learning more about the Computing Career Corps (February-May) and IT On Ramp+ (June or July) programs. Below is information about each program opportunity: 

Computing Career Corps (CCC) is designed to introduce high school students to a broad range of technology concepts. CCC will run in-person from February-May one night per week at several program sites across Columbus. 

Program Details: 
•Dates: February 15 - May 18, 2023
•Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
•Locations: Horizon Science Academy (Thursdays), Franklin Heights High School (Wednesdays) and the TECH CORPS office (Wednesdays and Thursdays)

Successful Completion:
•Students MUST ATTEND 80% OF THE SESSIONS TO RECEIVE THE INCENTIVES
•Students must acquire two skill-attainment digital badges

Students who complete the program will:
•Earn a laptop or $400 if they successfully complete the Computing Career Corps program
•Elevate their confidence with technology in a safe and supportive environment
•Connect and interact with technology professionals from several Central Ohio companies
•Increase their awareness of the technology job market in Central Ohio
•Gain a marketable and valuable set of employability skills
•AND GET PRIORITY PLACEMENT IN A PAID SUMMER TECH INTERNSHIP

IT On Ramp+ is a full-day, four-week Summer Earn & Learn experience designed to elevate students’ mathematical understanding and confidence in algebra and geometry through hands-on lessons focused on a variety of computing topics including app development, game design, data analytics, web development and cyber security.

Program Details: 
•Dates: June 5-30, 2023 OR July 10-August 4, 2023
•Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm, Monday-Friday
•Locations: Horizon Science Academy (June), Franklin Heights High School (July) and IMPACT Community Action (July), TECH CORPS (July)
•Salary: Earn up to $1,690 in four weeks (includes completion bonuses)

Students who complete this Interest Form will be contacted by a member of the TECH CORPS staff and provided with additional program information, including required paperwork.  

THESE PROGRAMS ARE ONLY OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Live and attend school in Franklin County
• Currently in grades 9th or 10th
• Participants must be TANF-eligible (This program is for TANF-eligible students only, and your parent/guardian will need to prove eligibility.)

TECH CORPS is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring all K-12 students have equal access to the technology programs, resources and skills to enrich their education today and to prepare them for college, credential or career tomorrow.
