Health Science Educator Summer Workshop 2022
The CTE Health Science Educator Summer Workshop will take place in person at Firespring in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Summer Workshop is for educators who teach at least one health science class and have at least three years of teaching experience.
The core purposes and objectives of the 2022 CTE Health Science Educator Summer Workshop are:
1. Develop strong Health Science education leaders across the state of Nebraska.
2. Cultivate a strong relationship between the work of NDE’s Office of CTE and Nebraska Health Science teachers.
3. Plan toward the realization of the Nebraska CTE Strategic Priorities within Nebraska Health Sciences.

Location: Firespring, 1201 Infinity Court, Lincoln, NE 68512
Stipend: Participants will be provided with a $200 stipend if traveling less than 60 miles to the workshop and $400 if traveling more than 60 miles to the workshop. The stipend is to offset related travel expenses and for the participant's time. A contract will be sent to all participants prior to the workshop. Participants are expected to actively engage in each session and present health science-related best practices in classroom methods or instruction to their peers at the 2023 summer NCE Conference, a 2022-2023 Nebraska HOSA Conference, or other presentation or leadership opportunity.
Participants who complete the Health Science Educator Summer Workshop are eligible to apply to receive funding to attend the National Health Science Conference in Charleston, South Carolina from October 26-28, 2022.
The CTE Health Science Educator Summer Workshop is a special project of the Nebraska Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education. Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, June 28, 2022, and the Summer Workshop is limited to 10 participants.
