City of Norwalk’s Commission on the Status of Women ImpACT Award in honor of Women's History Month

The Norwalk Commission on the Status of Women’s ImpACT Award is designed to recognize two individuals, one youth under 18 and an adult over 18, whose actions have had a positive impact on women, girls and other marginalized gender identities such as transgender people and gender non-conforming people in the City of Norwalk. Following an open and inclusive nomination process, awardees will be celebrated at the Commission’s regularly scheduled meeting on March 11, 2024 at 7pm. Location to be announced.

Nominees should meet the following criteria

Be a resident of Norwalk

Have been actively engaged in activities in Norwalk that have had a positive impact on the lives of women, girls and other marginalized gender identities such as transgender people and gender non-conforming people

Rising Star Award: 18 and under or Community Impact Award: 19 and older

Self nominations are welcomed.

Submit your nominations by February 23, 2023, 5pm.

Only complete applications will be considered. 

*The ImpACT Awards will be selected by the Commission on the Status of Women's Nominating Committee based on the criteria for the awards, nomination statements and the Committee's discretion.
