Let's Collaborate to Shape Transparency and Accountability in Olympia's Law Enforcement

The City of Olympia is actively seeking 8-10 individuals who are deeply connected to our community and genuinely committed to fostering trust between law enforcement and residents. We invite you to join us in a collaborative effort alongside Olympia's Social Justice and Equity Commission and Police Department. Together, we will co-design effective measures to ensure police accountability, aligned with our community's values and diverse needs.

Seeking Community Co-Designers With:

Diverse background and perspectives, including but not limited to people of color, indigenous people, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, low-income and unhoused individuals.
Varied personal encounters with Olympia law enforcement including positive and/or negative experiences.
An interest in partnering with policymakers, police officers and city officials to design accountability models and promote transparency and trust in Olympia's law enforcement.

If you would like more information, the project team will be hosting two drop-in co-design information sessions. Please indicate below whether you plan to attend one of the sessions.
