Best Starts for Kids has released an Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Caregiver Peer Supports and Basic Needs Resources Brokering profiles!

We are looking for community members (individuals that work, live, and play in KC) to join our RFP panels. These panel members will work together to review proposals, offer feedback, participate in meetings, and make funding recommendations on the partner Best Starts should work with.  

This RFP is seeking partners to deliver support in the following areas:

Basic Needs Resources Brokering: Provide bulk purchased necessities required by young children and their families to community-based organizations for distribution. These include but aren’t limited to diapers, cribs, car seats, clothing, formula, and food.
 
Kaleidoscope Play and Learn (KPL): Uses the Kaleidoscope Play and Learn module, a promising practice to bring families together to learn about early learning and healthy development while singing, reading, and playing together.
 
Parent-Caregiver Information and Supports (PCIS): Provide King County caregivers with educational group activities that encourage nurturing relationships and increase caregiver knowledge of child development and social-emotional well-being

Time Commitment:
Those who join the review panel should expect to work 15 to 20 hours between August 25 to September 30.
