Indego has teamed up with the Better Bike Share Partnership and the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Sustainability to launch Wheels to Work, a 4-week training course for adult job seekers that combines workforce development with learning about Indego and bicycling.
Participants will learn skills including building their resume and LinkedIn page, while completing assignments related to Indego and bike safety education. Each week starting May 7th, classes will be held online via Zoom. All the work for the course will be done online at the participants’ own pace. Plan to allocate approximately 4-6 hours (2 hours of scheduled workshops and 2-4 hours independent work) each week.

Tuesday, May 7th – Program Orientation – 5:30-7:30pm
Tuesday, May 14th – Workshop #1 – 5:30-7pm
Tuesday, May 21st – Workshop #2 – 5:30-7pm
Tuesday, May 28th – Workshop #3 – 5:30-7pm
Week of June 2nd – Final celebration – 5:30-7pm
A computer with internet access is required to participate in online worships and complete online assignments individually. Additionally, there will be a course instructor providing one-on-one assistance and in-person support for those who need it.
MANDATORY ATTENDANCE: In order to successfully complete the program, there will be mandatory attendance at all Wheels to Work courses which are listed above for your reference. Additionally, all participants will be required to attend at least one Indego bicycle group ride and/or class which will be scheduled to occur between May 7th and June 2nd, 2024.
Individuals who complete the program will receive a free six-month pass to Indego!
