2021-22 School Board Advisory Committee Meeting Schedule

Advisory committees established by the Chesterfield County School Board meet throughout the year to help Chesterfield County Public Schools achieve its vision of creating a better tomorrow for our students, staff, schools, and community. Below are the advisory committees and the respective meeting schedules for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year. Please note that this schedule is subject to change and is for reference purposes only. Legal meeting notices will be sent out from the School Board clerk’s office as required under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.

CCPS Audit and Finance Committee

The CCPS Audit and Finance Committee (“AFC”) assists the School Board in its oversight responsibilities for budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls systems, and audit processes.

Unless otherwise noted, all AFC meetings will be held at 8 a.m. in the VCU Room at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Feb. 1, Mar. 1, Apr. 12, May 10, and June 7.

Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee

The Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee (“CTEAC”) serves an important role in providing input and supporting career development initiatives. Members contribute to the continuous improvement of career and technical education development by reviewing curriculum, providing input on and supporting budget priorities and recommending workforce development initiatives.

Unless otherwise noted, all CTEAC meetings will be held at 8 a.m. in the Thomas R. Fulghum Center at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Feb. 15, Mar. 15, Apr. 19 (CTC@Hull Auditorium), May 17, and June 21.

Citizens Budget Advisory Committee
The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee (“CBAC”) assists the Superintendent and School Board in the evaluation and allocation of financial resources that support the operations of a high-quality, effective and efficient school division.

Unless otherwise noted, all CBAC meetings will be held at 8 a.m. in the VCU Room at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Feb. 24, Mar. 24 (Conference Room #A256 at CTC@Hull), Apr. 28, and May 26.

Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee
The purpose of the Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee (“ESAC”) is to review, evaluate and make recommendations with regard to current and best practice efforts to sustain and enhance the quality of life as directly tied to school operations and facilities, as well as general public awareness.

Unless otherwise noted, all ESAC meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room #A257 at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Feb. 15 (Conference Rooms D108 & 109), Mar. 10, Apr. 14, May 12, and June 9.

Gifted Education Advisory Committee

The Gifted Education Advisory Committee (“GEAC”) is a Virginia Department of Education-recommended group whose main purpose is to monitor and discuss Gifted Education program services in relation to current state regulations and the School Board-approved Local Plan for the Education of the Gifted.

Unless otherwise noted, all Gifted Education Advisory Committee meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Thomas R. Fulghum Center at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Mar. 10, and May 12.

School Health Advisory Board

The School Health Advisory Board assists the School Board with the development of health policy and the evaluation of the status of school health, health education, school environment and health services.

Unless otherwise noted, all School Health Advisory Board meetings will be held at 6 p.m. in the Thomas R. Fulghum Center at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Mar. 21, and May 16.

Special Education Advisory Committee

The Special Education Advisory Committee provides advice concerning unmet needs in the education of students with disabilities and assists in the formulation and development of long-range plans to provide necessary services for students with disabilities.

Unless otherwise noted, all School Health Advisory Board meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room #A256 at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. Meetings will be held on: Feb. 2, Mar. 2, and May 4.
