Level 1 training: The basics

This course will introduce you to the most common public benefits and how they support work for people with disabilities. You will learn how people can balance work and benefits, and how work is possible.

You will also be introduced to tools and resources you can use to help people make informed choices about work and benefits. See the level 1 learning objectives.

Who is this course for?
This course is designed for all professionals who support people with disabilities.

Learning components
• "Benefits and Work: The Basics" e-learning (approximately 30 minutes)
• Related resources, including nine animated videos and two desk aids (see below)

Benefits coach requirements
Professionals seeking benefits coach certification are required to complete this e-learning and review each of the items linked under related resources below.
