LGBTQ+ focused mental health resource center opens in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) - Hearthstone Psychology will be expanding from Kettering to Downtown Dayton this summer, opening its doors to its second location.

The Downtown Dayton location will be home to both a generalist mental health office and an LGBTQ+ Center, and offer individual, relationship, family, and group sessions for all ages.

“The need for quality, inclusive mental health care is needed throughout our country,” Dr. Caprice Lambert, founder of Hearthstone Psychology, said.

Since opening five years ago, Hearthstone Psychology has had plans to open a second office specifically to support the LGBTQ+ community.

“We have wanted to create a space that is welcoming to everyone, especially the LGBTQ+ community.”

In the months following the Downtown Dayton location’s opening, Hearthstone Psychology has plans to begin several different support groups, including groups for wellness, depression, anxiety, gender identity, and parent support. Hearthstone Psychology also has goals to develop community outreach programs.

Hearthstone Psychology’s second office is now scheduling appointments, accepts most insurances, and is located at 118 W 1st Street, Suite 1000, Dayton, OH 45402. Hearthstone Psychology’s Kettering office is located at 3085 Woodman Drive, Suite 240, Kettering, OH 45420.
