Convenient residential collection service starts at $32 per month. Many neighborhoods have lower rates due to the number of people already composting or from support from your City or Town. 

For example:

• Service is free and funded by the local government for residents of the City of Greenbelt, Town of Edmonston, Town of Bladensburg, City of College Park, Town of Chevy Chase,  Town of Somerset, Chevy Chase Section 3 and Section 5 and the Village of Martin's Addition
• City of Alexandria residents with City trash service get the first twelve months free & then pay a discounted fee
  
• City of Falls Church residents pay a discounted fee
  
• City of Manassas residents get the first three months free & then pay a discounted fee
• Other neighborhoods may have discounts depending on the number of homes participating
