The Washington State Leadership Board (WSLB) is currently accepting applications for its Boundless WA program. Designed for students 14-16 years old with physical and/or sensory disabilities, the program is focused on developing leadership skills and challenging students to be more involved in sports and outdoor activities. Applications for the Boundless WA program close February 15, 2023.
Team S.A.M (sports and mentoring) offers grant funds for eligible non-profit organizations of up to $5,000 for marginalized students to participate in sports. This could be in the form of scholarships, equipment, or activities. Recipients of the grant will also have the opportunity for their athletes to participate in monthly virtual sessions to develop leadership through the lens of sports and teamwork. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Department of Social & Health Services Aging and Long-Term Support Administration is calling for input on its Orientation and Safety training materials. Five (5) hours of training for long-term care workers in assisted living facilities, adult family homes, enhanced services facilities, or for a home care agency is mandatory.
Reviewers may be facility or community instructors, medical professionals, people who work in long-term care, formal or informal caregivers, people who receive care, or other interested parties. Feedback is needed by March 31st, 2023. Please email Samuel.cooke@dshs.wa.gov with questions about the project or comments on the materials.
