Community partners needed to assist planning and predesign of Capital Equity program
$50,000 each available for five partners to identify community facility needs and provide consulting services
Commerce is seeking five community partners to add to our knowledge of facility needs in racially diverse urban areas and rural areas of Washington State.
Community partners use their existing networking, facilitation and surveying skills to connect with communities who have been historically marginalized by government institutions. Commerce wants to hear from a diverse pool of potential partners including but not limited to Black and African American, Hispanic and Latinx, Asian and Pacific Islander, federally recognized tribes, tribal communities, urban Indian, Native American and Alaskan Native applicants.
Commerce is seeking proposals describing networks within these demographic communities that draw from people with lived experience:
- Surviving from, but not limited to: incarceration, hate crimes, homelessness, racism, sex trafficking, sexual assault, sexism;
- Navigating through but not limited to: immigration, refugee, housing or community service processes, foster care system;
- Identifying as but not limited: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender person, person with a disability, youth or young adult, senior, veteran, or a woman.
