The Parks at Walter Reed is a 66-acre redevelopment of the historic Walter Reed Army Medical Center, featuring multiple outdoor event areas on campus that are inviting, accessible, and second to none in Ward 4. Anchored by the Great Lawn, the campus also boasts an Arts Plaza with a pergola stage and string lights. In addition, the 10,000-square-foot West Lot adjacent to the historic hospital provides an urban hardscape space that’s a perfect stage for projections, theater productions, festivals, and more. Additionally, a brand-new playground is conveniently located just 200 yards from the Arts Plaza and Great Lawn. The site is easily accessible by public transportation: 13 Georgia Avenue bus lines pass The Parks on 16th Street and Georgia Avenue NW, and the Takoma Metro Station is just a 13-minute walk.

The Great Lawn, Arts Plaza, West Lot, and Playground are all ADA-accessible and compliant. The campus also offers ADA-compliant outdoor portable restrooms.
