What programs were successful for you this past year? The county's Live Well Center is the cornerstone of our well-being initiatives. This is a successful employee and dependent care clinic that provides both preventive and acute care.
How do you incorporate health and wellness into company culture? Well-being is incorporated through our employee-based wellness committee and numerous programs designed to keep employee attention on their health and well-being.
What role do employees have in creating or shaping wellness initiatives? Employees provide input through the Wellness Committee, feedback from presentations and through surveys.
How has hybrid work affected employees’ health and how did you tailor programs for that? Employees enjoy the flexibility to work from home and this option has created a better work-life balance for some. Many of our programs are offered both in-person and virtually to accommodate the change in employee office locations.
What plans do you have for the coming year? The new year will be one of healing and focus on the whole person. Lane County will be exploring how to support child care, increase mental health supports, and normalize greater work-life balance through flexibility in the workplace.
